My journey of buying my first home as a single Mom. Working with a low budget and the obstacles of finding a fixer upper in a low inventory real estate market. Follow me from fantasy to the reality of the purchase and the end result when it happens. I will share my thoughts, decorating ideas and give and ask for your advice throughout this process.

Could've, Should've or Not?
A year ago I found this place for sale in Easton, Pa. I even went to a realtor and had them show it to me. I fell in love with it. It had many things I desired. A story to tell. It was a end unit. 3 story high townhouse. Plaster walls with cracks. High ceilings. Original kitchen cupboard to the ceiling. Old doors, windows, wood floors and claw-foot tub to name a few things... A small garden area behind. But it needed lots of work. Including possible foundation problems. It was already listed on the historic registry. And it was listed... for $5,000. I even had the money to buy it... But I was scared. Scared it was too much for me to take on... I guess I wasn't ready. I then saw that later the one next door to it also went for sale...
